I design behavioral experiments and computational models to understand how what we see relates to what's actually there, and how certain we feel about it. My work looks at how different sources of uncertainty shape both perception and belief, often in ways that don't perfectly align.
I'm especially interested in the gap between experience and reality: how we construct a sense of knowing, and why it sometimes feels more stable than it is.
I'm curious how these processes might extend into tools for creating and experiencing visual worlds.
